Launch of European Social Fund 2014-2020 Programme

The ESF Operational Programme (OP) for England has finally been adopted which means that the programme can start delivering on the ground. ESF supports jobs and helps those furthest from the labour market progress into work. Any organisation wishing to apply for funding from ESF should read the OP as it contains vital information on how the fund will be delivered, managed and evaluated. The OP for the European Regional Development Fund (the fund for infrastructure investment) was agreed in June. More information on how to apply for ESF.

Local Enterprise Partnerships

Charities should also check the European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF) Strategy for their LEP area to see what kind of projects will be funded. LEPs have been asked to submit their revised ESIF strategies to government by 6 November 2015, but you can see the latest draft strategies.

New calls for projects

There are a number of ESIF calls now live on the government’s Funding Finder. Most are European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) calls for projects on research and innovation, SMEs, a low carbon economy, environment and resource efficiency. New ESF calls are expected soon.
