Amelia Gudgion was part of the NCVO Campaigning Effectiveness team from 2008 until 2013. She no longer works for NCVO but her posts have been archived on this site for reference.
When should you use Freedom of Information (FOI) in your campaign? What are the challenges and opportunities charities and voluntary organisations face when using FOI?
We interviewed Katherine Gundersen from Campaign for Freedom of Information, Ann Feltham from Campaign Against Arms Trade and Simon Birkett from Campaign for Clean Air London at the NCVO Campaigns Conference 2011. In the video Simon and Ann explain how they’ve used FOI to achieve major wins in their campaigns. (Don’t be intimidated by the length of the video, it has some good stuff in it!)
